According to my calendar, it is almost the end of August. I know this can't be true. If it is the end of August, that means summer is almost over. That means that I have a story due in a matter of days. That means that time has hurtled by, as it seems to do faster and faster all the time...
But that also means that my new book will be out soon! It should be available from eHarlequin next week, and available in stores in October.
Here's the blurb:
Her royal baby secret!
As treacherous and formidable as the desert he wishes to rule, Sheikh Tariq bin Khalid Al-Nur is furious that he cannot take the throne until he marries. But he cannot wed until he’s rid his dreams of the ordinary but bewitching Jessa Heath...
Jessa knows she and Tariq have unfinished business, but she is treading on shifting sands! What if she were to take control and allow herself the one night he’s offering? However, that’s all it would take to reveal the secret she has so desperately kept hidden…
I'm very excited about this book. It's my second for Presents, and very close to my heart. It's even stirred up a little bit of controversy already in the UK! I can't wait to see how readers feel about it here in North America.
In fact, I'm so excited about it that I think I'll give away a few copies here. Just leave a comment and let me know what your favorite summer book was this (nearly finished!) summer, and I'll pick a few winners this Friday.
Which, the way things are going, will seem as if it's three seconds from now!

My favorite summer book? SO HARD! I have two: Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson (a YA debut title) and Kristan Higgins's All I Ever Wanted. SO GOOD!
My favourite book this summer was Maisey Yates's debut book for HM&B - His Virgin Acquisition. Really enjoyed it! Caroline x
I have several favorites; Urban fantasy, Black Dust Mambo by Adrian Phoenix; Historical, Susan Wiggs Chicago Fire series and Harlequin, Penny Jordan's Balfour Brides.
My favorite summer book??? Heck I've read so many books this summer I can't choose a favorite....too many really, really good ones. Any of Paula Graves Cooper Justice books would qualify since they are full of suspense which is what I like.
OMG How can someone ask this I have read so many books this summer alone so let's see I've read The Stud Club trilogy by Tessa Dare which was really good. Wanted, Ambushed, and Claimed by Vicki Lewis Thompson and that's only the few I have so many more it's ridiculous.
Very tough to say but I think my favorite read was _The School of Essential Ingredients_ by Erica Bauermeister. Love, life, and cooking... what more could you want?
I just finished "The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks. Great book! I can't believe how fast it was to read, that is the sign of a really wonderful book!

RANSOME'S CROSSING by Kaye Dacus! I'd never read any of her books before & this was great! I can't wait until her next book comes out!
HAPPY END (almost) OF SUMMER!!!!
Just one fav? Well lets see...
I think it would be Daring a Duke by Claudia Dane. I really enjoyed it, 't was the first book of hers that I read and I think I'll try some more.
I just finished Jane Porter's She's Gone Country. It was fantastic!! She captures the raw emotions that many women have. I highly recommend this book.
Caitlin, I read your first Presents book and can't wait for the 2nd. I know it will be just as good, if not better.
My favourite book this summer was "Pictures of Lily" by Paige Toon, closely followed by "Scandalous" by Tilly Bagshawe, two of my favourite authors.
I have no idea what happened to my earlier comment. Maybe it'll show up soon (then I'll apologize for spamming). Anyway, My favourite book this summer is the book I started yesterday (despite the abundance of books to read!!). It's called *anyone for me?* by Fiona Cassidy. So far I've cried and laughed and cried..I just love it :)
I have read close to 100 books this summer---how can I pick just one?
Guess it would have to be Fantasy in Death by JD Robb.
My favorite read of the summer was Dee Davis' "Dangerous Desires."
Well, think I can make this easy and go with the one I'm reading now, Love in the Afternoon by Lisa Kleypas! :)
Lois
soulless by gail carriger and night of the living deed by e.j. copperman were two of the nice surprises of my summer....

Kristin Higgins- All I ever Wanted was a good one. I also loved Wolf tales 8 by Kate Douglas.
I have read too many books this summer to pick just one...lol I have to say that every single book I read this summer...heck this whole year has been sooo good. The books just seem to be getting better and better....sheesh maybe that's why I am so addicted to reading..Keep up the great work authors. :)
Congrats on a new release! My favourite summer read was Madman by Tracy Groot.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Wow It's hard to narrow it down to one book. I liked Nora Robert's Vision in White, Mac and Carter's story. So romantic! I love weddings. TThis is the first book in her Bride Quartet series.
I too have read a cazillion books this summer (so far). One that stands out in my mind at the moment is Linda Conrad's BETWEEN STRANGERS. Loved the buildup in the story and the characters were realistic. Enjoyed the storyline, as I didn't guess the twists and turns throughout.
I've read so many books this summer: Dear Money was pretty great. I just started Mockingjay so I'll nominate that as well.
I had a few this summer:
Paranormal: Definitely the first Works Like Magick book, NAKED DRAGON by Annette Blair
Contemporary: CORRALLED by Lorelei James
Suspense: SHADOWS AT MIDNIGHT by Elizabeth Jennings
I like my reads with humor but and all three these books had that, enough to have some really enjoyable reading hours, which makes the my favorites this summer.
So many books. So hard to choose.
I really enjoyed the search by Nora Roberts
I read tons of books during my summer break (which sadly ended 2 weeks ago), and I really enjoyed most of them, but my favorite was probably Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles. I'm normally not a YA reader but this was recommended to me, and I'm so glad it was. I really loved it!
OOooooo...loved the excerpt Megan! I can't wait to read your book! So what happnes next? Aww...I not going to tell me? I guess I will just have to get your book, :-)
I have read lot's of books this summer. Vicki Lewis Thompson's first book, Blonde With a Wand, is pretty good! Blue Remembered Heels by Nell Dixon is excellent! Can You Keep A Secret? by Sophie Kinsella is fantastic! I love her books! These are the books that I can remember off the top of my head. I read many more that were awesome!
I really enjoyed Vicki Lewis Thompsons Blond With A Wand and Chick With A Charm.
I really enjoyed Loved in the Afternoon by Lisa Kleypas.
