Beyond saying it was such an awesome pleasure to work with the likes of fabulous Presents authors such as Carol Marinelli, (RITA finalist!) Jennie Lucas and Annie West on this very special series.
I love sheikh books. Always have. Always will. To me, they’re the ultimate fantasy alpha male (at least, if you want a living breathing alpha male – vampires are something else againJ) because the worlds they inhabit are so exotic and foreign and they can make their own rules.
Yet for all their power, still they are merely men and oh, so susceptible to the love of just one special woman!
I loved writing Forbidden: The Sheikh’s Virgin, and I hope you love reading it too. Already in its second week at #3 on the Borders Series Bestseller List, and as of yesterday a USA bestseller, thank you to everyone who has made it such a success!
Trish would love to giveaway a copy of one of her backlist titles of choice. Simply comment as to what is your ultimate fantasy male and why, and you will be in the draw!

Ultimate fantasy male would have to be a Vampire. I love Vampires, always have ever since I was little and saw Bela Lugosi on the tv. I like the vampires who are looking for that love of a lifetime and finds her when he's not expecting it. A big, long haired, muscled scared-he-might-hurt-her type vampire.
I still watch every Vampire movie that gets released and read as many Vampire novels as I possibly can, but there are so many of them out there...I must not be the only one who likes them..:)

Hi Trish,
What a glorious cover! Can't wait to read your book about the sexy Rafiq. It sounds so good and to be appearing so high on the bookseller lists it's obviously got a lot going for it. Must say it was an absolute delight working with you on this continuity.
Fave fantasy male? Oh, no, that's far too hard. I'd keep changing my mind. Maybe that's why I write romances - so I can fall in love with so many different heroes one after the other.
Hi Mary!
Ooh, I think you're in good company (or should that be bad company?:-)) loving vampires as the ultimate fantasy males.
There's definitely that aura of danger around them (and hey, for pretty good reason come to think of it). Talk about the ultimate bad boy.
I love your comment about vampires looking for their love of a lifetime. That would be quite some time. Gives a whole new meaning to happily ever after:-)
Hi Trish,
I’m addicted to my monthly Presents fix and my ultimate fantasy male would have to be the tough, sexy sheikh.
You write these alpha heroes wonderfully and I can't wait until the Dark-hearted Desert Men series arrives in the shops.
Aussie Authors rock!!!
Congratulations on your No3 at Borders and USA Bestseller list.
Cheers, Margaret Midwood
Fickle, that's what you are Annie West - fickle! Fancy not being able to name your most favourite fantasy hero. I mean, it's so easy. I mean, surely it's a sheikh? Or a Greek tycoon? Or an Italian could-have-been-carved-from-marble millionaire? Or a sexy Spaniard with a to die for accent? Or an...
Oh, I see what you mean...
Meanwhile, I have my own stack of Dark-Hearted Desert Men waiting on my bedside table for me to devour in one delicious gulp - slight matter of revisions holding up the works. Incentivation to get the book done if ever I saw it!
And thank you Annie, can I say, it was an absolute pleasure working with you so closely too. Thanks so much for making it such a fabulous experience!
Margaret, hi!! So lovely of you to drop by.
And yes, sheikh's are one of my fantasy heroes, I have to admit (can I restrict myself to one? - nnnnnno) But yes, I so agree, there is definitely something so special about sheikhs.
Thank you for your gorgeous comments! It was so lovely to see you recently at our Romancing the Novel seminar. Thank you for coming all this way!
(And enjoy - those Dark-Hearted heroes are on the shelves now and they are wonderful!)
Congrats Trish
I picked this book up on Thursday at Big W can't wait to read it hopefully I will find time this weekend although I am busy with Hubby in hospital.
I love Sheikhs there is somehting exotic and very alpha about them I love them
Have Fun
Helen
The series was incredible and with a fab author line-up. I hated to see it end!
I love heroes that are honest, have a great sense of humor, nice looking but not conceited, caring and athletic.
Helen, thanks so much! I hope you enjoy Forbidden!
And very best wishes to you and hubby in hospital. I hope things work out well!
Dear Marilyn,
If they had Olympics for the best ever Presents fans, you would scoop the prize pool!
Thank you so much. It was a short miniseries - just the four books - but from my point of view that meant a really special connection with my fellow authors.
I'm hoping that shows in the books!
Laurie, there is so much in your wishlist to die for - honesty, gsoh, good looking but not conceited, caring and fit.
Even to an alpha male loving female, that suunds pretty desirable to me, because even the most alpha of males has to have a soft side, even if he doesn't like anyone to know or even admit it to himself.
Great attributes for a hero, Laurie!
Hi Trish. Your book sounds great. Love the cover. For me, my fantasy guy is a strong, sexy alpha male who is intelligent, confident, and goes after what he wants without reservations.
Hi, Trish! Congrats on your latest release!
I love, love, love my cowboys and men of the Old West! The love of my life is Sam Elliott : )Sam has no peer as a Western star. Also, his voice alone would make all the seams come loose in your clothes! One of my favorite words is “courtly”, which to me means respectful and mannerly. Who could resist a courtly cowboy, hat in hand, when he says “thank you, Ma’am”? A lady journalist who was once lucky enough to interview Sam Elliott described him as “courtly”. I knew that : )
As for alpha males, I do love big, tough, gruff men who have tender hearts. The "Alpha" male is the dominant leader of the pack. They have qualities and strengths which make them "number one"! Along with all that greatness can come arrogance, a "my way is the only way" attitude, and a sometimes ornery personality. However, their fierce devotion to their loved ones, their loyalty and their innate honor all go together quite nicely to smooth the rough edges. Not too smooth, though...leave some of that masculine allure...a little beard stubble to tickle your skin : )
He doesn't have to be tall, dark, and handsome, but I would like the tall part, as I'm 5'10"! Sometimes handsome is a bad thing, so I'd go for verile or understated instead. It would be nice if he listened to me and voiced his opinions too (but not in a commanding manner). I won't even get into the bedroom aspect of my prerequisites, LOL! Suffice to say, he should want to satisfy MY needs as well as his own!
Hi Trish,
Congrats on Forbidden: The Sheikh's Virgin's huge success!! I'm not at all surprised, because it was fantastic...but to have one's book on two bestseller lists must be so exciting!!
As an avid fan of the Presents line, obviously my ultimate fantasy male is an alpha. Sheikhs are probably my favorite, though Greek and Italian tycoons are tied for a very close second. There's just something about an intense, tough, stubborn, powerful, sexy man yielding because of his love for a woman that just makes me melt!!
I love the alpha male. A man who is a rugged outdoorsman.
Really, I'm not that picky!
My fantasy guy would be like Jamie Fraser from the Outlander series.
CrystalGB, I love my cover too! Just adore the colours.
And I adore you concept of the perfect male too - strong, sexy, intelligent, confident and who goes after what he wants - yum.
If he can make me laugh I'll take him:-))
Virginia C - I love what you wrote - "his voice alone would make all the seams come loose in your clothes!" I just love the picture!
Yes, voice is so important. Gotta love a voice that rumbles through your bones - ooher.
And "courtly". Another great point. There is something gorgeous about a cowboy tipping his hat.
I think you hit the nail on the head with your alphas too. That fierce devotion and loyalty makes them the ultimate protectors.
Thank you for your wonderful contributions, Virginia, so much to think about there!
Oh yes, Laney. Definitely a listener! I'm a bit keen on the not quite handsome too. A bit of character never goes astray. Clearly a bit of stamina too:-))
Denise, thank you so much! I am absolutely thrilled to bits that you enjoyed Forbidden! (And that's the best kind of thrill an author can get, I have to say:-))
There's something so special, isn't there, about the Mediterranean hero? The passion and the drama, the olive skin, those dark good looks - no wonder they're such a favourite. Definitely one of mine! I love it when they find that one special woman!
LOL runner10, who needs to be picky when there are so many gorgeous alphas to choose from?
You say rugged outdoorsman and already though, with just two words, there's another picture in my mind and I have to say I like it!
Ah, Jamie Fraser - I wondered when he'd crop up:-)) Good call, Chey! I don't think I was ever partial to a redhead until Jamie Fraser walked off the page.
No fantasy fellows for me! I'll
take my alpha/beta combination
Honey any and every day! We've
known each other for some fifty-
one years and have been married
for 48 years! A strong man who
helps rock the babies to sleep,
that's my kind of man!
Pat Cochran
OOPS! That should read "49" years!
Sorry, Honey!!!
Pat Cochran
Pat, that man of yours sounds like a keeper! Congratulations on such a long and wonderful relationship together.
I love writing books that celebrate love. It's not all fantasy!
Hi Trish, Congratulations on FORBIDDEN:THE SHIEKS'S VIRGIN making not one but two bestseller lists!
Thank you Kandy, and congratulations on your latest release too!
And I really wish I could understand that last post, but sadly not.
Trish said: "Clearly a bit of stamina too:-))"
I am soooo LOL right now. Thanks! And you're absolutely right!
Ooh, next blog is up, time to draw a winner and because I always love this bit, I'm going to draw two - and the lucky winners are -
