I had a whole blog written last night about authors who have the incredible talent of making me feel every emotion - good or bad - that their characters feel. I think we can all have favourite authors who have the ability to pull those emotions from us, leaving us feeling elated, or devastated or furious.
It's a goal I continue to strive toward with my own writing.
However. . . as I was finishing up the post last night, someone sent me the link to this video and I immediately shelved what I'd written for another day.
This is something everyone should see. I don't usually ike to cry before my first cup of coffee, but this woman makes it all worth it. :)

So while I'm sorry I don't have an informative blog post to share this morning, I'm not sorry to sharing this with all of you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I love this video, and I keep re-watching it. It is such a heartwarming thing to watch. The look of surprised pleasure on Simon's face is priceless. I watch American Idol, and I have never seen that look on his face before.
How absolutely marvelous! My husband and I were just talking on Tuesday as we sat in a restaurant about how irritating it is that so many singers now try to substitute simple talent with distinctive style (such as is used taking what should be one note and carrying it up and down for no pleasant reason). This beautiful voice brings you to tears with self-evident clarity and straight-forward control, and the person injects the style before and after with her sincerity. That's all that's need, and she did it quite naturally.
I've watched this video several times on YouTube and several more
on numerous news sites, and I am
so amazed AGAIN each time. I sit
here with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes EACH time! I just
love Susan! God bless her!

What an amazing voice Susan has!
She's amazing isn't she? The story is all over the news here in Australia!
Love it! Reminds me of Paul Potts who won the year before. They really have talent on that show :)

I love this video clip and have watched it several times. It is wonderful to see the reactions when she begins to sing.
I think Susan Boyle will go far!
Isn't it amazing how one simple woman can bring so many of us to tears with just a song? But that voice! So unexpected and so completely amazing!
Isn't this video just fab? The first few times I didn't cry, but the last two times I've seen it, tears come to my eyes when you see Simon. FANTASTIC story!!
