The Women by Megan Crane

I love movies about women.

The one I'm most excited about this year doesn't involve Cosmopolitans and couture, it's an interpretation of a much older play:
The Women by Clare Boothe Luce, which was originally on Broadway in 1936. It was an MGM movie in 1939. And my friends put it up when I was in college, which is how I know it. It's one of the most delightfully catty and backstabby play imaginable, and it's a brand new movie this year, starring just about every female actor you can think of:

I can't wait to see this movie. I hadn't seen trailers for it yet. Like everone else, I do love Steel Magnolias.

I love Steel Magnolias too, though I am afraid to re-watch, as I do not have a week to cry afterward... Those sad ones break my heart.

I liked Boys on the Side, now that I think about it. Or maybe I just liked the soundtrack?
