Love Songs

I think I have a new love song to add to my favorite list. And, surprisingly, it's "Umbrella". Not the version that Rhianna sings (which, don't get me wrong, I like), but the words carry more weight in the Mandy Moore version. It's almost like a pledge. You can listen to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l607rEC8tzM

I don't have a lot of favorites. I like "I'll Stand by You" by the Pretenders and "I Swear" by John Michael Montgomery. Hmm… now that I think about it, these songs all of a common theme of sticking together through the rough times.

How about you? Do you have a favorite love song?

I listen to so few songs anymore -- I'm mostly instrumental or movie soundtracks that are so (like Star Wars), but quite arguably, the soundtrack I listen to the most certainly has plenty of famous love songs, Phantom of the Opera. :)

Oh, I forgot about LADY IN RED. I always stop everything when that one comes on the radio.

Richard Marx is a name from the past. He writes the most beautiful ballads!

Phantom of the Opera is a really good soundtrack! I can't decide if I like Gerard Butler better than Michael Crawford.

THE KISS by Faith Hill is a great song. I try to sing along with it but I never get the words right.

MY HEART WILL GO ON still to this day makes me teary. It's really embarrassing!

This is a great song, Susanna. Mandy Moore is actually my current casting for my WIP! And I do like this better than the Rihanna version and my daughter agreed - she heard it and went OOOOH! I like that one mum!

I have so many songs I couldn't possibly list them all. And some I wouldn't pick for me but that seem to end up as soundtracks for books...
