Cruisin' Down the River with Sandra

OK, we didn't cruise down the river. We cruised down the Caribbean. In February, my husband and I took our son, daughter-in-law and our two little grandchildren on a cruise from New York harbor to several wonderful islands in the Caribbean.

How exciting it was to sail by the Statue of Liberty! I've been to the Statue, even climbed all the way to her crown in the days when that was possible, but seeing her from the deck of a huge ship as we sailed out to sea was amazing.

And our trip was wonderful! We all had a great time, sightseeing, relaxing, playing, eating (and eating and eating and eating...)

I've posted a couple of videos at my website. Some photos, too, there and at my blog. I'll be adding more photos and videos but I though it would be fun to share some here right now, with you.

Hey Sandra,

Wow...to be able to climb all the way up to the crown of the Statue of Liberty...Do you have any pics of that time too? Hm...this may sound silly, but I didnt even know we could do that before...

And it seems that everyone had lots of fun.

Thanks for sharing them.

Liz, that was before the sadness of 9/11. Nope, no pics, just the memory. It was a great view from up there but I have to admit, the last part of the climb made me feel a little claustrophobic.

And yes, everyone had a great time.

Thanks for leaving a note. Isn't blogging, and sharing, great?

Mona, thanks for your note. I have more photos on my website, including a couple of videos, and I'll be posting more. I just keep getting caught up in my current manuscript... you know, this thing called "work." :-)

It definitely was a wonderful trip! The scenery, the islands... but, mostly, being together with my family. That was the very best part.
