The events in the novella take place before those in SEVEN NIGHTS IN A ROGUE'S BED (Sons of Sin 1) so Jonas is still in curmudgeon mode and Sidonie hasn't yet appeared in the characters' lives. But we get to see quite a bit of Sir Richard Harmsworth, the hero of Sons of Sin 2, A RAKE'S MIDNIGHT KISS, which is out on 27th August. And we get to see even more of Camden Rothermere, the Duke of Sedgemoor, a man who is the subject of my current writerly crush.

Prior to writing DAYS OF RAKES AND ROSES, I had only written one reunion story (my e-novella THE WINTER WIFE), although as a reader, I love them. There's something really life-affirming about giving two people a second chance when either fate or their own mistakes have separated them.

In Simon and Lydia's case, her ambitious father is to blame for breaking them up in the first place, but ten years apart and Lydia's recent engagement make for a stormy homecoming for our wandering rake. Scandal has shadowed the Rothermere family and Lydia has learned through bitter experience to toe the line - can she risk everything to follow her heart? And is the man she fell in love with so many years ago worthy of her trust? After so long apart, he should be merely a handsome stranger.

Tawny Weber: Reunited... And It Feels So Good

I'm celebrating the release of my latest Blaze this week. JUST FOR THE NIGHT is in stores now. This is a story that was so fun to write, because there is something just extra sweet about reuniting a couple that missed out on their well-deserved happy-ever-after.

Larissa and Jason had a serious thing going a few years back, but life, jealousy and their issues got in the way - splitting them up.

Now, thanks to a sneaky matchmaker and a 24 hour blackout that takes down the power on the entire Eastern Seaboard, they have a second chance.

What I realized in writing this story is that not only do I believe in true love, and the perfect someone for everyone. I also believe in timing. Timing is a major factor in whether or not a couple can make things work or not. For Larissa and Jason, the timing before was all wrong. They both had some growing up to do, and some lessons to learn. In my own life, I'd met my husband years before we became a couple (we were in high school together). If we'd dated back in school, I'm sure we'd have split up and gone our separate ways. But after a few years of independence and growing up we were both in the perfect place for our own happy ever after.

I really enjoy summer time (when it's not too hot and sticky) and I love being on the water, so what better time of year to write about than that? And I figure, since most of my readers are probably suffering in the throes of a chilly winter about now, that reading about summer time and summer pursuits is just about the level of escapism they'd be craving.

In TYCOON'S VALENTINE VENDETTA, my February Silhouette Desire release, I not only got to live vicariously through my characters as they live in their sumptuous beachfront dwellings but I also got to cruise the beautiful coastline in a luxurious 46 foot power boat, visit a secluded beach, go snorkelling for scallops and...well, you'll just have to read the book to see the rest won't you?

TYCOON'S VALENTINE VENDETTA is a reunion story between Jack Dolan and Lily Fontaine. When I first started this book, many years ago, it was in a different incarnation entirely. Jack's name was different and he had been the one to leave my fictional coastal town of Onemata to travel the world and make his fortune, leaving Lily behind. When I revisited this unfinished story, with a view to submitting a proposal to my editor, I decided the story would have far more impact if it had been Lily who'd left and was now, ten years later, forced to return due to a miserable down turn in her circumstances.
