Tonya Kappes: Out of here!

It's that time of year to shake off the old year and bring in the new year! AND it's time for everyone to blog about new year resolutions. Not me! I don't make new year resolutions. But I can't help but take a look back at what a whirlwind year it has been!

HarperCollins, my publisher, published the first four novels in my Ghostly Southern Mystery Series. All four! Plus I signed another contract with them to write more.
I'm also thrilled that I signed another three book deal with Henery Press for my Kenni Lowry Mystery Series.

I self published two novels, two novellas and participated in two box sets.

I had twenty-three public appearances and hosted my very first and very own reader event for my readers!

WOW! That was a big writing and publishing year.

2016.... Watch out...here I come!!!

This new year is not going to be any different. I'm planning on introducing a new cozy mystery series to self publish along with my traditional releases.

My second reader event has been planned and already full.

I'm giving two key note speeches and over thirty appearances have been put on the calendar.

All I can say...is bring it on!

What about you? Are you looking forward to the 2016?

Leave a comment to win a fun mystery pack!

Resolutions don't really work for me. I like to see what each day brings, and go from there. I'm looking forward to a few reader events, and lots of reading. No matter what it brings, I'm going to make 2016 awesome for me!

I am hoping 2016 is a good year, last year had its ups and downs with more downs than up. One of the worst thing was losing my
Mama. On the bright side, the first week of 2016 I am taking my first cruise ever to the Caribbean. It will also be my first trip out of the states.

No resolutions... I think people just tend to break them. I do have things I want to accomplish, but more on my time. Looking forward to a great new year and an end to the rain right now. Only a trace a snow so far this year, and I'm happy all this rain has not been snow, I could have used just a little bit.

Wow you have had a busy year for sure. Good luck with all you do in 2016. My resolution for 2016 is to not have a resolution. No matter how hard I try, I always fail at whatever it is I resolve to do. So not going to have one this year.

I am thrilled that The Ghostly Southern Mystery series will continue. Your 2015 was so busy, and 2016 will undoubtedly be just as packed. For me the new year continues to be ups and downs navigating retirement. Health is number 1 on the resolution list. I have found several cute tricks to help get me up and going, cutting down on carbs, and enjoying my hobbies. Happy New Year! kat8762@aol.com

I don't make resolutions. I don't make resolutions. Instead I have certain goals and accomplishments which are important. Firstly my family and health are concerns which I look after and take seriously. Have a wonderful 2016.

Wow! You are certainly inspiring. I am looking forward to 2016. Have not given up on resolutions yet and mine is simply to try my best. It has been the same for years now and has stood me in good stead. Last year, I was recognized at work for leading our group to the highest rating that we have ever had. It was also the highest rating that could be given.

Teri Lenz- Instead of resolutions, I have been coming up with one word to guide me and focus on for the year. Have you read My One Word by Ashcraft and Olsen? That is the book I used to launch this journey. As for 2016, well, I am grateful for every year. I am excited about spending it with my new boyfriend and scared about some other things. All in all, bring it on.

I am so looking forward to 2016. 2015 was not a good year. I was hospitalized for two weeks and needed home nursing because of a really bad infection, I needed antibiotics through an IV for two weeks. My mom's dog she had Minnie for 15 years and she helped my mom through the passing of my dad, her mother and my sister. The real sad ending of the year was my brother just before Halloween he had a stroke and didn't make it.He was just 56. So next year has to be better for mom and me.

I don't do new years resolutions. 2016 has to be better than 2025. I lost 4 people I really care about. Toyota overfilled my oil causing me to be stranded for 3 days in a strange town when I went out of state to a funeral. Someone broke my back window when I met my daughter for dinner one night. So yes 2016 has to be better

I don't really do new years resolutions either, but if I was forced to I would say to continue what I started this year (eating healthier and trying to loss some weight). My daughter is a senior in high school so my main goal is to keep her on track for college. She has a major case of senioritis already.

I'm looking forward to my youngest son's visit in February. He moved to Portland, OR and wasn't able to make it home for Christmas. I am also looking forward to the birth of our 3rd grandchild due around June 1.

I'm trying to be more patient and understanding. my diet is already out the window. I will change my eating habits soon. I will!

Congratulations on your achievements in 2015 and wish you much success and stamina for 2016! I don't make resolutions either but I do have a goal to lose weight and get myself in better health. I had some serious health issues in 2015 that put me in hospital 3 times. Don't want to do that again. So, I know, from my own personal experience that losing weight and doing that 'other dirty word' exercise, will whip my sorry a$$ into shape and keep me on the straight and narrow path I need to be on to get, and stay, well! Happy New Year!
