Seven Nights A-Go-Go!

by Anna Campbell

Wow, I haven't had a new book out since May 2011 so you can imagine how desperately I'm waiting on 25th September when SEVEN NIGHTS IN A ROGUE'S BED from Grand Central Publishing hits the stands in North America (1st October here in Australia where I'm still with Avon HarperCollins).

SEVEN NIGHTS IN A ROGUE'S BED is a gothic take on Beauty and the Beast and it's the first book in my very first series, "Sons of Sin". Here's the blurb:

Will a week of seduction...

Desperate to save her sister's life, Sidonie Forsythe has agreed to submit herself to a terrible fate: Beyond the foreboding walls of Castle Craven, a notorious, hideously scarred scoundrel will take her virtue over the course of seven sinful nights. Yet instead of a monster, she encounters a man like no other. And during this week, she comes to care for Jonas Merrick in ways that defy all logic-even as a dark secret she carries threatens them both.

...Spark a lifetime of passionate surrender?

Ruthless loner Jonas knows exactly who he is. Should he forget, even for a moment, the curse he bears, a mere glance in the mirror serves as an agonizing reminder. So when the lovely Sidonie turns up on his doorstep, her seduction is an even more delicious prospect than he originally planned. But the hardened outcast is soon moved by her innocent beauty, sharp wit, and surprising courage. Now as dangerous enemies gather at the gate to destroy them, can their new, fragile love survive?

You can read an excerpt on my website here: http://annacampbell.info/rogue.html

You can preorder Rogue. Right now at the Book Depository, there's a 15% discount - and seeing the book's at a special introductory price anyway, this makes it great value, even if I say so myself! Or perhaps you prefer Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Seven-Nights-Rogues-Bed-Sons/dp/1455512079/ref=la_B002NKV1HQ_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1338928157&sr=1-2

Otherwise, it's available in print or as an e-book at all good retailers!

Something different for SEVEN NIGHTS IN A ROGUE'S BED is that it's available as an audiobook (never had one of those before) from Tantor Audio. Isn't that a great cover? Here's the link: http://www.tantor.com/BookDetail.asp?Product=B0888_SevenNights If you get a chance, click on the sound bite - wow, that's one sexy voice!

I'll be doing a huge blog tour and giving Rogue away all over the place closer to release date. In the meantime, I'm giving away FIVE (5) copies through my current website contest. http://annacampbell.info/contest.html Just email me on anna @ annacampbell.info (no spaces) with your answer to the easy question to be in the draw.

STOP PRESS! Because there was a hiccup with the host of the Romance Bandits site where I did a launch for SEVEN NIGHTS IN A ROGUE'S BED yesterday, I've extended the giveaway there for another 24 hours. We're playing a fun game (read the comments - they're hilarious!) and there's THREE copies of 7 Nights up for grabs! Good luck! http://romancebandits.com/15-nights-until-7-nights/

I hope you all have fun meeting my Jonas and Sidonie!

So let's talk about heroes. Jonas Merrick, the hero of Rogue, is, you guessed it, a rogue (well, he really tries to be!). Do you prefer the bad boy hero or do you prefer the knight in shining armor hero? Or are they all equally delicious?

Maybe a little of both or a bit more rogue with a dash of the knight in shining armor type hero. I've read a book with that kind of a hero and until now he's my ultimate crush even he is just a fictional character. I just love him so. :D

Hi Anna, Congratulations on the launch of SEVEN NIGHTS IN A ROGUE'S BED--I can't wait to read it!
Love the cover too.

Different heroes for different stories: there's room for bad boys, and knights-in-shining-armor, and tortured souls, and witty debonair charmers--I love 'em all!

But I do have a particular liking for beauty and the beast stories, your UNTOUCHED remains one of my favorites. I'm looking forward to meeting Jonas and Sidonie.

I like a cynical dark tortured hero but not one that has been sleazing around in too many beds recently. Embittered woman-hater is my first preference. Unless I can have a tortured virgin hero but they are special and rare. As you know. Classic knights in shining armour are a teensy bit boring unless they hide a deep dark secret. Just sayin'

I am looking forward to this book... I hope the book will be published in Turkey...in English or Turkish, it doesn't matter. I would like to what MY QUEEN has written in order to make me seduced!!!

I enjoy them both but probably lean more towards the bad boy rogue. I think most times they are the more intriguing character. Really great cover and I can't wait to read it.

I love the rogue, the bad boy. Those are the ones that usually try so hard not to fall, and they fall the hardest. The rogues are the ones that flirt the most, say crazy things, and do even more crazy things. Loves Anna's books and definately on my must read list.

Ooh, Lory, I'd love to know the name of the book. That hero sounds delicious!

Kandy, I'm with you - if I don't have to choose, I won't. I want to sample the whole lovely buffet. Thanks for saying that about Untouched. Jonas and Sidonie are definitely a Beauty and the Beast pairing and for once, they know it - they comment on it a couple of times! ;-)

Hiya Fiona! I love a virgin hero too - I wrote one when I did Untouched and I've got an idea for another one further down the track. I think that's a delicious twist on the usual virgin heroine. Actually sometimes knights in shining armour can be gorgeous - Laura Lee Guhrke does a wonderful line in principled men who are still really sexy. Check her out if you don't know her books.

Hey, Duygu, you always do such wonders for my self-esteem! Thank you! No Turkish deal as yet but fingers crossed - I love the editions they do there, beautiful covers.

Thanks so much, Linda! I've been in love with that cover since I first saw it. I've put it on everything that moves, magnets, cards, bookmarks, totebags even!

Chris, I know what you mean. I love it when they're fighting tooth and nail NOT to fall in love but of course they just can't help themselves. And then the big scene at the end. Sigh. Thanks for saying you love the books! x

(The computer ate my comment, Ms. Anna!)

Rogue or Knight? I'll take both, please!!!!

Hi -

Since reformed rouges make the best knight in shinning armor once they meet the right woman, I want them both but in one shinny package!

I should know! I've been married to my very own reformed rouge for 42 years!

Anna Campbell said...

Pat, I think your computer is a bad boy!!! Yeah, I'm kinda "Do I have to choose?" ;-)

Anna Campbell said...

Jeanne, what a great answer! And lucky you! I like the idea of the reformed rake - works for me!

I like a mix - bad boys are never totally bad & the knights often have an edge.

I love a bad boy turned knight by the right woman. This book sounds like it has my favorite type of hero.

Anna Campbell said...

Di, I think that's the secret. A bit of bad in our good boys and a bit of good in our bad boys!

Anna Campbell said...

Kaelee, yeah, that pretty much summons up Jonas. He doesn't want to be good but he falls in love and just can't help it. Sigh! Thanks for swinging by!

Anna Campbell said...

Thanks, everyone, for swinging by and talking about heroes. It's a topic of perennial interest, isn't it? See you next month!

Anna, congratulations on the release of SEVEN NIGHTS IN A ROGUE'S BED. I've read the book and I can say it's one strong, sexy romance with a dark, tortured hero and a very feisty heroine. A perfect selection for those wanting a delicious historical romance read.
