Fall Books, Hooray! by Megan Crane

The fall always seems like the start of the new year to me, and I'm not even in school any longer. But the moment Labor Day passes, I find myself in a fall mentality. I want the weather to change. I want the earlier nights, the cooler air. I want to nestle into thick sweaters and write write write. I'm always more productive in the fall. I don't know why, exactly--it might be that part of me that used to get so excited about all the new books, new pens and pencils, new notebooks, new classes.

And new books! The fall seems to be chock-full of long-awaited books by favorite authors. I just got my copy of Jennifer Crusie's newest in the mail, and I can't wait to start reading it:

And then in November there will be Nalini Singh's latest Psy/Changeling book:

I'm excited about the fourth and final book in Nora Roberts's Bridal Quartet, because that means I can start reading them. (I don't like to wait, and I'm already neck deep in too many long-running series as it is! I usually wait for new ones with known endings to be finished before I start.)

I can't wait for Alpha by Rachel Vincent. It's the last in that series, featuring a love-triangle that causes me so much pain that I decided to stop reading the books until they were all out so I wouldn't have to wait in-between books and work myself up into a frenzy. The pain will stop--or kill me--in October:

There will be more books from Anne Stuart, a book with the best title ever: Carolyn Brown's My Give A Damn's Busted, a new Kresley Cole, brand new (I mean even newer than me!) Presents author Maisey Yates's debut book His Virgin Acquisition, a new Natalie Anderson, new Balfour Brides books each month in the delicious new Presents continuity, and I could go on and on and on.

I should probably tell you that if you're in the UK, you can read my alter ego Caitlin Crews's third Mills & Boon Modern right now:

And if you're in North America, you can read my second Harlequin Presents in a few short weeks:

What books are you excited to curl up with this fall? What books are already on your TBR lists?

I have a ton of books just waiting to be read! Jennifer Estep's new books, Vicki Lewis Thompson, Jennifer Crusie, Debbie MaComber, Susan Wiggs, Stephanie Bond, etc.
It is like my own personal library of books! They are all alphabetized too! You should see my stack of Harlequin's that are just waiting to be read. I am waiting for that rainy day with nothing else to do but read.
