The Latin Lover is coming soon – in Stereo! - Trish Morey

It’s true! Just when you think it’s safe to pick up one book and get one fantabulous Presents read, now you’re going to be able to pick up one book and get two!

The Latin Lover is an October Harlequin Presents release and features two great novellas, The Greek Tycoon’s Inherited Wife, by bestselling author Lucy Monroe and Back in the Spaniard’s Bed, by Trish Morey, winner of the 2009 Short Sexy Romantic Book of the Year Award.

Here are the blurbs, just to whet your appetite...

The Greek Tycoon’s Inherited Bride

Phoebe’s betrothal to Spiros Petronides’ brother meant she was forbidden, and honor was the code the Greek billionaire lived by. But with one kiss, Spiros knew he had to claim her as his!

Back in the Spaniard’s Bed

Leah left Alejandro Rodriguez because she’d overstepped the boundaries of a mistress and fallen in love! The Spaniard’s arrogance angered her, but his touch ignited her. So when Alejandro storms back into her life, how can Leah deny him?

And here’s a brief excerpt from Back in the Spaniard’s Bed, in case you’re still not convinced...

Nobody walked out on Alejandro Rodriguez. Not business tycoons or CEO’s or poker-faced politicians. And definitely not women. Leah Mitchell was just going to have to get that through her head.
He watched her working through the window of her small dressmaking shop from his vantage point across the narrow street, her head down, totally focused on the task at hand, her fingers nimble and quick as they worked the fabric through the machine.
He remembered those fingers, long and slender like the woman herself, and he remembered how they’d once worked their skilful magic on him...
He missed them.
He growled, low in his throat, a familiar thumping demand building below. Soon, he knew, soon he would feel her hands weave their magic upon him once again.
All of a sudden those same fingers stilled and she looked up, her eyes alert, searching the streetscape outside, the passing pedestrians and traffic, almost as if she’d sensed his presence. He smiled as he flipped the collar of his coat up against the unseasonable November cold. So she wasn’t over him? He’d suspected as much.
And he’d enjoy proving it to her.
He’d make her wish she’d never left him, make her beg for more.
And then he’d unceremoniously dump her.
The peak hour Sydney traffic was bumper to bumper along the narrow one-way street but somehow Alejandro forged a path through, parting the sea of cars like he had a god-given right, the tails of his long black coat swirling in his wake like the wings of a manta ray.
He was oblivious to the sound of car horns, oblivious to the calls from irate drivers to get off the road. Because right now his focus was on one thing and one thing only – Leah Mitchell, and how he was going to get her back into his bed.

I loved writing this story, it was challenging to deliver the full Presents experience in the shorter format but I’m really happy with the result and delighted it’s being released in North America in partnership with Lucy Monroe’s fabulous novella. Two great reads for the price of one – what could be better than that?

What do you think of the Presents 2-in-1 format? One lucky person will be drawn from the comments to win a copy of The Latin Lover, personally signed by Trish!

One book---two stories. What's not to like?

Very good idea. This new release seems great too, can't wait to get my hand on it ;-)

**PLEASE DON'T COUNT ME IN THE CONTEST ** (already been lucky to win one of Trish's book 2 weeks ago ;-)

I always love two in one.
If the stories are a bit shorter then then they will be the perfect take along book for trips.

I have discovered new authors by buying books with more than one story.

The Present line is at the top of my favorites list I can't wait to try this one out.

Very cool sounding stuff! :) And I love the idea of two in one -- whether it's those two full stories in one or anthologies, you get to hit more than one author at once, all the more better if they are new to you, and you just get to have more to read. In the end, all good stuff! :)

Hi Gigi, thanks for dropping by and for your comments. I think you're right, the perfect books to take along on trips.

Maybe the editors are onto something? I love the normal length Presents, but this 2-in-1 format has a lot going for it too.

Lois, good point. It's a great way to get a taste of new authors, for sure.

Hey Kimmyl, we aim to please:-))

Thanks for your feedback!

Wow Trish, Alejandro sounds like one hot hero! But then your heros are always wonderful...
Two-for-one is always a great idea and a good way to sample different writers.

Trish Morey said...

Hi Kandy, thanks for your gorgeous comments! I love Alejandro. He's a little bit wicked, and who doesn't love that in a man?:-))

Hi!
I concur with the other posts: you can't go wrong with two stories in one book, and it's nice to be introduced to new authors. I'm always looking for bonuses in life, and I definitely consider this a bonus!
This would be perfect when you don't have as much time to read (like at a doctor's office), but you'd still like to finish the story (which is still possible for SOME doctor appointments!).
I like both stories. I think women in general like to feel needed/loved, and to have the man realize they want the woman at the beginning of the story is an enjoyable concept. Mind you, Alejandro sounds unscrupulous, making it more interesting to see how he "changes" by the end of the story. Hmmm. I wonder....

Hi Trish!

I think 2-for-1's are marvelous and the PRESENTS line is one of my favorites! Oooo...I can't wait to read your story Trish! It sounds fantastic!

Congrats on your book Trish! I think you are an amazing writer!

I love novellas - they provide a nice break from novels every now and then - so when I saw this book on eharlequin.com I was so happy! (I especially love novellas from authors I'm already a fan of, and that's just another reason when I'm looking forward to reading The Latin Lover.) I hope Presents does other 2-in-1 books, because I think they'll be a lot of fun.

I must apologise for being away for hours! I've been at the hairdresser with Daughter #2 preparing for her high school final year formal. Hair, make up, nails - she and her friends looked like real Presents heroines when they left. And that was before they'd put on their gowns.

sigh

You know, I'm sure having sons is wonderful, but sometimes having daughters is just sighworthy...

Okay, normal programming to resume forthwith!

Trish Morey said...

Laney4, that Alejandro is unscrupulous - spot on! And he's all about evening up the score.

Does he change by the end? Hmmm, I think so. I hope you like the changes:-))

Trish Morey said...

Michele L, I'm so glad Presents is one of your favourite lines! I have to say, I love writing for them.

Glad you like the idea of the 2-in-1 format too, and thanks for the congrats!

Trish Morey said...

Hey Lynz, so glad you're already a fan of novellas! Well, I have just the perfect release for you. Good luck!

Great exposure to two authors and two awesome heroes from Greece and Spain!

Great idea of a little treat for the readers!

Trish Morey said...

Hi Laurie,

Definitely a double dip into alpha heroes.

A Greek and a Spaniard featuring in the one book. Bonus!

Sounds like such a neat event. How exciting for both of you.
Girls can be such fun, getting ready, seeing them live this excitement and then tell you all about it. And you know you did this special thing for them so they could have a special moment and it took you a lifetime to figure out how to do this.

Vintage fan, it'll be a night to remember I'm sure. I'm just waiting for her to get home (they crashed around 4am apparently at a girlfriend's house) to hear all the details:-))

Emmanuelle, I am so, so chuffed you enjoyed Mistress of Revenge! Thank you:-))

Trish Morey said...

Annie, how lovely to see you here!

Isn't it an interesting concept? I wonder if they're going to do it more. I'm certainly tickled pink to be part of this one, that's for sure.

Trish Morey said...

Hi Rachie G, another in favour! I can see I'll have to let my editor know how popular this concept is. They love being told they have great ideas:-))

(Who doesn't?)

Mary Kirkland said...

I love the 2 in 1, I mean who wouldn't love getting 2 of anything for the price of one? I love this idea and always love it when more than one story is available in one book.
