Memorable Kisses - Susan Stephens

I dreamed a dream in times gone by...

One of my all time favourite songs from that amazing musical, Les Miserables.

Dreams. Odd things, aren't they?

As I confided over at the Pink Heart Society Spotlight the other day, I had this weird dream recently that I was kissing Roger Moore!

As one of my fellow Presents authors, India Grey so reasonably demanded- why not Sean Connery, or Pierce Brosnan?

You tell me!

But that brings me neatly round to the subject of kissing- don't you think we should have a contest for the best first kiss?

Mine was when I was nine years old and at a mixed camp during the school holidays.
Of course boys couldn't visit the girls' dorm, but Brian Bigland - 11 years old- (Hi, Brian! Goodness knows where you got to ) snuck into mine and gave me a very wet, and rather yucky kiss! Of course, the dorm' monitor was hot on his tail and poor Brian was punished severely for his boldness. But wet and yucky, I still remember my very first kiss to this day! And no, it wasn't repeated, and yes, the security between the girls and boys was tightened up right away!!! And no, of course my mother never found out ;-)

How about your first kiss?

Share your stories and I'll pick out a winner at random from those we love and award a prize!

Alas, my first and still only kiss came during a break from class. . . we were down in the basement, bottom floor, whatever you'd like to refer to it as, and the class was waiting for the teacher to come back. . . and this guy that I liked, he tried to kiss me in front of the class. Everyone thought he did, I moved away in time. LOL He was typical nerd (though I didn't know what that was at the time. . . ). . .

Ah, the trials and tribulations of the second grade. :)

Um, unless it was the first grade. Heck, it's been a while. :)

My first kiss was in first grade and it was a real eye opener. The boy who kissed me french kissed me and I was shocked and disgusted. (He had older brothers who had told him about french kissing.) I had no clue what french kissing was and I was totally surprised when he stuck his tongue in my mouth. Needless to say, it was definitely a learning experience.

Mine was when I was 9. It was my older brothers friend. I had such a huge crush on him.

Wow! I must have been a very late bloomer. My first kiss was in high school. I was dating a college guy and on the way home from a dance he hugged me very tenderly and then kissed me very gently as if I were made of fragile glass. It was very romantic.

When I was 9 years old this wonderful boy who was smitten with me, invited me to his home and then he walked me home. Before he left he kissed me good-bye. He was sweet and I still remember.

In first grade I went to a neighbor's birthday party. This was a regular party with the Mom and all the kids. This cute little boy was adorable and took the opportunity to kiss me which took me by surprise but was delightful.

Gosh! My first kiss was the fall of my 6th grade year. My best friend Anita had the first boy/girl party any of us had ever been to. I liked this one boy, Terry, but he liked my friend Anita. Terry's best friend was Tommy, so I figured that was the next best thing to liking Terry and agreed to dance with him. While we were slow dancing, he kissed me. No tongue, but it was still rather warm and wet! It was kind of sweet and nice.
The funny part is that Anita really liked Tommy and she was mad because Tommy kissed me!
Ahh, the drama of young love! :p

During the summer spent at camp there were various dances and parties with boys. Many times over the summer there were friendships that lasted and were bittersweet. Mine was like that. Throughout the summer we were inseparable, except for many activities. At the last closing dance we kissed. Memorable and unforgettable.

Well, my first encounter of the opposite sex was when I was 10 and I was playing basketball. I was playing with the cute boy in the neighborhood and I went to catch the ball. Well, he went to grab the ball too as it was coming towards me but put his arms around me quick like from behind and squeezed my boobs. I said, "Uh that is not the ball" and threw the ball at him. Alas, no kiss out of that one!

Then, when I was in 7th grade a different boy snapped my bra strap when I was standing at my locker! I laughed at him and said what was that for? He said because your cute and then kissed me! Boys!

You got love 'em!

In middle school dances were held but it was intimidating to ask someone, so a few friends went together. The evening was a dream since this one lovely young man asked me to dance and never left my side throughout the evening. He kissed me goodnight and then I felt like I could fly away home.

I'm smiling as I read these blogs- Crystal I felt just as revolted by poor old Brian's dribbly kiss. Urgh!

Mona, I love Roger Moore's tongue in cheek (how apt!) approach to 007, but I have never drooled over him. (sorry, this is all dribbling and tongues, which is entirely coincidental!!!!)

It's so great when that first kiss is a reverent and romantic moment, isn't it? I really envy those of you for whom it had that magical quality

WHen I was a teen we attended sock hops. Every Friday night in a school gym there was a great dance. I enjoyed them. A group of us went together. We danced through the evening with different young men and it was plain fun. One young boy was so charming and special. We danced and then kissed during the slow dance. First and lasting.
